AI assistant for auto dealers

An AI assistant for your car dealership website

An AI assistant for auto dealers answers the questions car buyers ask on a dealership's website and turns them into test-drive requests. Maya, the AI of TryMaya, talks or types with buyers in their language, takes them to the right vehicle page and keeps the enquiry, with the model and the question, for your sales team.

What car buyers ask a dealership website

These are questions a buyer typically types or says. Maya answers the ones your pages cover and re-reads the live vehicle page before she quotes a price. The rest go to your list, you answer once, and she knows it for every buyer after.

  • "Do you have a seven-seater I can try on Monday?"
  • "Is the red one still available?"
  • "What warranty does it come with?"
  • "Do you take trade-ins?"
  • "What are your opening hours on Saturday?"
  • "Can someone call me about the price?"

An example, not a customer story

Saturday, 11:40. You are on the lot with a customer, and your phone stays in your pocket. On the website, a buyer from Germany asks out loud whether there is a seven-seater to try on Monday.

The site has a German version, so Maya switches the page to it, brings up the seven-seat model, answers the warranty question from the page and offers Monday at 10:00 or 16:00. The buyer says ten. Maya takes the request, and you confirm it with one click from the email she sends you.

You are on the lot, and she works every other door

The homepage of TryMaya tells this story as a short film. The same Maya can also be found by the buyer before the site: she publishes your approved facts as llms.txt and schema.org markup and opens a connection (MCP) so compatible assistants such as ChatGPT can ask your Maya about a model. When the buyer agrees, the assistant hands them to your website with the conversation so far. Whether an assistant recommends a dealership is its own decision, and nobody can promise it.

A buyer who taps a link in an Instagram or TikTok ad lands in that app's own browser, where the microphone is often blocked. On Android, Maya offers to open the page in the phone's own browser so voice works, and typed chat works in the meantime.

What Maya does on a dealership website

  • Answers from the facts the dealership approved: models, the prices on your pages, warranty, opening hours and service offers. What your pages never stated, you teach her once.
  • Takes a buyer to a vehicle's page when they ask. In our test on a tour operator's site, "Take me to Lake Como" opened the right page; a vehicle page works the same way.
  • Opens a vehicle's details window when her setup scan has checked that the button only opens a window. For any other control she shows where it is and asks the buyer to tap it.
  • Knows which section of the page the buyer is looking at, so "what am I looking at?" gets an answer about that model.
  • Re-reads the live vehicle page before she quotes a price, and reads only your own website.
  • Takes test-drive requests (Booking plan and above). The buyer gives a day and a time, Maya says it is a request, and you confirm or decline with one click. The buyer then gets a confirmation with a calendar invite.
  • Declines a time outside your opening hours and states the hours, and declines a slot that is already taken.
  • Sends a reminder email before the test drive with links to change the time or cancel. You choose 1, 2, 24 or 48 hours before; 24 is the default.
  • Captures a buyer who is not ready to book: a name, an email or a phone number and a summary of the model and the question. She reads the details back, saves them only after the buyer says yes, and you get an email.
  • Takes a callback request for a buyer who wants to talk about price. It needs a phone number or an email, makes one callback per conversation and emails you once.
  • Answers in the buyer's language by voice and by text (70+ languages) and keeps talking in it after she switches the page. If your site has a version in that language she opens it; if not, she translates the page in place, labelled "Translated by Maya" with a "Show original" button.
  • Follows up by email with interested buyers who did not book, and collects private ratings after a visit. A public review request goes out only when you set a review link and turn it on (Booking plan and above).
  • Sends you the weekly report (Booking plan and above): conversations and outcomes.
  • Shows you the questions buyers asked that your pages never answered, so you know what to add to a model page.

What each plan adds for a dealership

Prices are per month plus VAT, with no contract.

  • Connect (€299): voice and text in the buyer's language, answers from your site, page actions, lead capture with the model and the question, callbacks, and publishing for AI assistants.
  • Booking (€499): everything in Connect, plus test-drive requests you confirm, reminder emails, follow-up emails, private ratings and review requests, and the weekly report.
  • Reception (€899): everything in Booking, plus text-message reminders, several showroom websites under one account, push of leads to your CRM, and phone answering once your Maya phone line is activated.

What happens when she does not know

She says so, takes the buyer's details and puts the question on your list. You answer once and she uses it for every buyer after. In our prompt-injection test she refused to invent a 90% discount when a message asked her to, and she answers price questions from your pages.

Questions people ask

Does Maya know which cars are in stock?

Maya works from your vehicle pages: she answers from what each page shows and re-reads the page before she quotes a price. Your website stays the single place where you keep stock current, and she follows it.

Can a buyer book a test drive in the chat?

On Booking and above, yes, as a request: the buyer gives a day and a time and you confirm or decline with one click. The buyer receives the confirmation and a calendar invite. On Connect, Maya takes a callback and the buyer's details instead.

What about buyers who come from ads on Instagram or TikTok?

On Android, Maya notices the app's built-in browser and offers to open the page in the phone's own browser, where voice works. Typed chat works in the in-app browser in the meantime, so the buyer is never left without an answer.

Can Maya talk about financing or a trade-in?

Maya gives the figures and conditions your pages and notes state, and when a question needs your sales team she takes the buyer's phone number or email, reads it back and passes you a callback request with the model and the question.

Can ChatGPT send me buyers?

Maya publishes your approved facts and a connection that compatible assistants can use to ask your Maya. When a buyer agrees, the assistant hands them to your site with the conversation so far. Whether an assistant mentions or recommends a dealership is its own decision.
